(001) – THE ONLY MEDIATOR

“For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Jesus Christ” (1 Tim. 2:5).

The Gospel of John agrees with the declaration that Paul makes when he says, “No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten God, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him” (John 1:18). Jesus himself confirms the declarations of John and Paul with the following words, directed to the religious Pharisees of his time, “You know neither Me, nor My Father; if you knew Me, you would know My Father also” (John 8:19).

With these words Jesus was saying that nobody would be able to know the Father apart from knowing Him, for He is the only and perfect mediator. In this line of thought, the apostle Peter agreed with John and Paul, saying to the Priests, to the Guardians of the Temple, and to the Sadducees, “He is the stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which became the very corner stone, AND THERE IS SALVATION IN NO ONE ELSE; FOR THERE IS NO OTHER NAME UNDER HEAVEN THAT HAS BEEN GIVEN AMONG MEN, BY WHICH WE MUST BE SAVED” (Acts 4: 11,12).

Jesus Christ once more confirms the words to the three Apostles, John, Peter and Paul, saying: “I AM THE WAY, AND THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE; NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER, BUT THROUGH ME” (John 14:6).

In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus makes a most incisive declaration about himself, as the only mediator between God and men: “ALL THINGS HAVE BEEN HANDED OVER TO ME BY THE FATHER; AND NO ONE KNOWS THE SON, EXCEPT THE FATHER; NOR DOES ANYONE KNOW THE FATHER, EXCEPT THE SON, AND ANYONE TO WHOM THE SON WILLS TO REVEAL HIM” (Matt. 11:27).

After these revealing texts, anyone can conclude that a mediator is the one that connect men to God. It is that one that reveals the true God; it is that only one that shows the true work of God; it is that only one that does the will of God; it is the only door to God, and the only one who reconciles men with God: for it is the only one that makes propitiation for the sins of men before God (1 John 2:2). It is the only advocate before God interceding for the lost (1 John 2:1).

If it is true that there is one only God and one only mediator between God and men, Jesus Christ, the man, as we have read above, WHAT GOD DID MOSES REVEAL TO MEN? “Then Moses said to God, ‘Behold, I am going to the sons of Israel, and I shall say to them, “The God of your fathers has sent me to you.” Now they may say to me, “What is His name?” What shall I say to them?’ And God said to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I AM’; and He said, ‘Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ”The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.” This is My name forever…’” (Ex. 3:13-15).

And the Apostle Paul reveals that Moses was the mediator between God and men, in Gal. 3:19. THERE ARE NOT TWO MEDIATORS, BUT A SINGLE ONE MEDIATOR. We conclude that the God who used Moses as a mediator was false.

The Priests of the Old Covenant were all false mediators.

Moses was the mediator between the god of darkness and the people – Deut 4:11,12

Jesus is the mediator between the God of light and men – 1John 1:5

Moses was the mediator of the god who killed men – Ezek. 18:4

Jesus was the mediator who gives life to men – John 17:3

Moses was the mediator between the god of wrath and men – Ps. 7:11-13

Jesus is the mediator between the God of love and men – John 3:16

Moses was the mediator between the god of vengeance and men – Nahum 1:2

Jesus is the mediator between the God of forgiveness and men – 1 John 2:12

Moses was the mediator between the god of curses and men – Deut 28:15-68

Jesus was the mediator between the God who removes the curses of Jehovah in order for us to inherit the blessing – Gal. 3:10, 13; Eph. 1:3

The works of Jehovah are not like the works of the Father, so he is a false god. And the same Jehovah says that he does not change, in Malachi 3:6.

Christians are plagued by tuberculosis, fever, AIDS, leprosy and all kinds of infirmities because they worship the God of curses that is Jehovah. Then they go to the churches asking Jesus to heal them, but go on being under the curses of the god, which they profess.

Moses does not take anyone to the Father. It is necessary to reject the fake, and believe in the true, through the only mediator who continues to speak,

“…I AM THE WAY, AND THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE; NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER, BUT THROUGH ME” (John 14:6).
