(136) – UNCLEAN – I

136 – UNCLEAN  1

Can a newly born child be unclean? If he is, this uncleanness is congenital, that is, the child was born with it. If he was born with it, there can be only two causes: Either all children are born unclean—in this case no child is born pure—or the uncleanness comes from the parents, if they themselves are unclean—and in this case, the uncleanness is an inheritance. The Bible does not back up this second case, since by the Bible all children are born unclean, according to the law of Jehovah. “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘When a woman gives birth and bears a male child, then she shall be unclean for seven days, as in the days of her menstruation she shall be unclean” (Lev.12:2). The text is crystal clear. It is not the child that becomes unclean because of the mother’s uncleanness, but the mother becomes unclean because of the son. The same text makes it clear that she becomes unclean during menstruation. Therefore, the problem is not with the woman, but with the menstruation, that is, in the discarded cycles, which Jehovah considers a sickness. The texts in Job 15:14 says: “What is man, that he should be pure, or he who is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?”  The explanation is that the woman was born unclean, and the child will also be born unclean. In Leviticus 12:1-4Jehovah reveals that a woman, when she gives birth to a child, remains thirty three days in the blood of her purification, after seven days of uncleanness. But, if she has a female child, she remains two weeks unclean, and sixty-six days in the blood of her purification. Why does a female baby make the mother unclean during double the time? It is because she was born unclean and it is going to give birth to unclean children.

According to the Old Testament, everyone is born unclean. “How then can a man be just with God? Or how can he be clean who is born of woman?” (Job 25:4).

In the eyes of Jehovah, the sperm is unclean (Lev.15:16; 22:4); the ovulation of a woman is unclean(Lev.15:19-25); sexual intercourse is unclean (Job 15:14; 25:4); and the unclean person contaminated the tabernacle of Jehovah (Lev.15:31-33). The uncleanness ceased when there was a sacrifice for the atonement of the sins (Lev.12:6-8).

As the gentile peoples were strangers to the covenant of Jehovah, they were all unclean. That is why the Israelites do not mingle with other races until today, for these are all unclean to them. The uncleanness of the male Israelite was removed in the circumcision (Lev.12:3; Is.52:1). As the woman was not circumcised, she was unclean for double the time.

If men were sanctified in circumcision, and the woman in the sacrifices of the Law, why were the seed of the sexual intercourse and the ovulation of the woman unclean, and both became unclean through the women? It was because both men and women were created unclean. Adam and Eve were already unclean before the fall, and could have never resisted temptation. They have to be recreated by Jesus Christ. “Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come” (2 Cor.5:17). “That, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth” (Eph.4:22-24).

Let us go on to the ministry of Jehovah, the god of the Old Testament. First, it is Jehovah the one who closes or opens the womb of the woman so that she can bear children in the flesh. “And Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech his wife, and his maids, so that they bore children. For Jehovah had closed fast all the wombs of the household of Abimelech because of Sarah, Abraham’s wife” (Gen.20:17-18). Read Gen.25:21; 29:31; 30:32-34; Deut.7:14; 30:9. Jehovah is responsible for the fecundity of the flesh. “There shall be no one miscarrying or barren in your land” (Ex.23:26).

Jehovah is responsible for multiplying the unclean children (Ps.107:41; Is.9:3).

Jehovah has predestined the unclean to rule over the earth (1 Chr.28:4-5; Is.65:9).

Jehovah has begotten all the children conceived in the flesh in the wombs of women. “Moreover, you took your sons and daughter whom you had borne to Me, and you sacrificed them to idols to be devoured. Were your harlotries so small a matter? You slaughtered My children” (Ezek.16:20-21; 23:37).

Jehovah cursed the people of Israel, saying: “Then you shall eat the offspring of your own body, the flesh of your sons and of your daughters whom Jehovah your God has given you, during the siege and the distress by which your enemy shall oppress you” (Deut.28:35). Read Lev.26:29; Jer. 19:9; Ezek.51:8-11; 2 Kings 6:24-31; Lam.4:10.

The children conceived in the carnal womb, which are therefore unclean, are the inheritance of Jehovah(Ps.127:3). Now it is possible to understand why Jehovah declares himself to be the god of all flesh.“Behold, I am Jehovah, the God of all flesh” (Jer.32:27).

Jehovah is not the god of Israel alone, whose sons are sanctified by the circumcision or by the sacrifices of the Levitical priesthood, but he declares himself to be the god of all the men that live in the world.“The earth is Jehovah’s, and all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it” (Ps. 24:1). “Who among all these does not know that the hand of Jehovah has done this, in whose hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind?” (Job 12:9-10).

It is necessary that everyone believes in the sanctifying power of Jesus Christ, and seeks him, and consecrates his children to Jesus, so that they are no more unclean, and so that the unclean spirits do not have access to them. There is a curse that follows the children of pastors and missionaries, which is that they leave their churches to get involved in the world, prostitution and drugs. By faith, the children can be delivered from the uncleanness and from the curses of Jehovah.

There is, nevertheless, a statement of the apostle Paul concerning the children of God: “But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For they are not all Israel who are descended from Israel; neither are they all children because they are Abraham’s descendants, but: ‘Through Isaac your descendants will be named.’ That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God” (Rom.9:6-8). They are not children of God, because they are unclean. And if they are unclean, how were they children of Jehovah? “The sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves” (Gen.6:2). And Moses declared about Israel: “You are the sons of Jehovah your God” (Deut.14:1). “And Jehovah saw this, and spurned them because of the provocation of His sons and daughters” (Deut.32:19). Jehovah himself speaks now: “Listen, O heavens, and hear, O earth; for Jehovah speaks, ‘Sons I have reared and brought up, but they have revolted against Me” (Is.1:2). How can it be? Jehovah begot children in the flesh, and called sons those born in the flesh. But the children of the flesh are not children of God the Father of Jesus Christ. There are really two families and two fathers: one temporal and another eternal; one of the earth, and another of heaven; one mortal, and another immortal.

Jehovah begets unclean children in the flesh by the womb of a mother in the flesh. The Father begets righteous children in the womb of a spiritual mother, which is the Church, by the Holy Spirit.
